Will-o’-the-wisp (gnis fatuus, in Latin) is a blue or green flame that appears in the marshy areas. These lights are caused by the gases from decaying plants. Legends say that these lights appear to travelers in the woods with the purpose of diverting them from their path. Other legends say that they guide travelers to the right path when they are lost. Many more legends speak of them.
The pixies of “la foret de garmilla” have trapped the will-o-the-wisps inside these orbs forever to guide your way (or not).
